by becoming a CARING COMPANION!
*You/your family can be the hands/feet/heart of Jesus for a lonely care center resident! Many are longing for connection, encouragement and the love of Christ. We invite you to bring comfort and companionship by “adopting” a resident through the Kindred Hearts Ministry, a ministry of YWAM/King’s Kids MN in conjunction with Gracepoint Crossing.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these…you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)
Become a Caring Companion!
*No experience needed…just a warm heart! FAMILIES are encouraged to join! Senior Living residents often LOVE children! Ages 16 and up can participate on their own. We provide orientation/training and ongoing support.
How You Can Serve:
- Adopt a resident and visit them weekly (or consistently, as you are able – scheduling is flexible!)
- Read to them (Scripture or whatever they’d like!)
- Play games or work on a puzzle
- Sit and visit
- Go for a walk
- Sing hymns/other songs
- Get involved in Senior Living activities together
- The possibilities are endless! Your PRESENCE is the best gift!
